Fabric Coaster Tutorial

It’s better late than never…

This saying feels so true at the moment because I’ve finally finished my Fabric Coaster Tutorial!! You may not remember my post (back in 2019! It seems so long ago…) introducing the fabric coasters I had designed as gifts for family and friends. If you feel like a trip down memory lane you can read that post here. Well today I’ve finally finished and published my latest Pedlar Creative tutorial for making stylish fabric coasters. So it really is better late than never.

Fabric Coasters

I am really sorry that it has taken me this long to finish this tutorial for you guys. There’s really no good excuse that I can think of that makes up for it. (Maybe 2020….?) But the important thing is that it’s finished now (Yay!) and I promise the next tutorial won’t take as long.

Fabric Coasters

I absolutely love my fabric coasters! There are so many reasons why this is such a great project and why you should make some of your own. Apart from the fact that it is a great way to add your own favourite splashes of colour/patterns to your home decor but coasters are also very useful. I have them in several different rooms in my house. Also this project is a great way to use up small bits of scrap fabric. I’ve only used two fabrics in this tutorial but there is nothing wrong with using more. As long as the finished top and bottom pieces are equal in size. And then there’s quilting – another thing that you might decide to do differently. There’s just so many way’s you can personalise these coasters for your own taste.

Fabric Coasters

Be creative, put your own spin to it. That’s the thing I love the most about sewing – the freedom to be creative. I hope you’ll check out my Fabric Coaster Tutorial and make some of your own. And I would love to see all your creations so don’t forget to tag me #pedlarcreative
