Mid Year Update 2019

I’m running a bit late!

Last week I realised that it’s been a long time since I updated you all on what kind of sewing projects I’ve got on my to-do pile. I was planning for a mid year update but looks like I’m running a bit late for that. I just don’t know where the time goes! So I thought I’d update you this week. I’m really excited about the projects I’m planning to take on between now and the end of the year.

Paget Bag

Since my adventure into the world of clothes sewing has began, I’ve started collecting a variety of clothing patterns that I want to make. I figure the best way to start is to begin with a few easy projects. And some of these have already made their way to my to-do pile. The first couple of projects I would like to tackle is Noodlehead’s Vintage Inspired Skirt Tutorial and Purl Soho’s Wool Wrap Skirt. My newly purchased Factory Dress pattern by Merchant and Mills is another project I’m hoping to get started soon. It would definitely be great to have this made in time for Summer!

Merchant and Mills Patterns

Of course anyone who knows me will expect a whole list of future bag projects that I want to make. I’m not going to disappoint! There are always so many patterns to try and not enough hours in the day. I’m ashamed to say that ithinksew’s Paget bag and Noodlehead’s Fika Tote are still on the to-do list from the start of the year. (I know – very shameful!) I’m also going to add a few more to this pile including Merchant and Mills Costermonger market tote and Swoon’s Brooklyn Handbag and Heidi Clutch. I’ve also made a start on a few projects; the Jeannie bag which I wrote about last week and Noodlehead’s Minimalist Wallet. So many bags to make and so little time!

Noodlehead Patterns

A quick update on my facebook group Pedlar Bites. I’m not sure if you follow this group but it’s basically a place I can share my other crafting projects with you. It also has some handy cleaning hints and information on reusing/repurposing items. Feel free to put your own posts on there. I just love hearing about what people are up to! I’m also planning a new opening for my Etsy store Pedlar Creative. I really want to commit a lot of time to my store over the next few months. I’ll keep you all posted on how it’s going.

Paget Bag

With Christmas around the corner I’m going to be very busy over the next few months making presents for various family members and loved ones. I always find this the busiest time of year with all these extra jobs on my sewing pile. I’m also working very hard on getting my first bag pattern finished. Fingers crossed I might make it for a pre-Christmas release. Also I haven’t forgotten all my lovely readers and I’m currently working on my next free sewing tutorial for you. Hopefully some very exciting things coming up!
