Coffee Cup Sleeve

Morning Coffee…

I don’t think there is anything better in the morning than a coffee with your breakfast. I know it’s a bit of an indulgence to buy a coffee on the way to work but it’s nice to spoil yourself. So when I came across this Pellon project for making a coffee cup sleeve I knew I had to try it!

Stitch Stem, Navy, Collection ‘Threads’ by Eloise Renouf – Cloud 9

This project is super easy and quite fun to make! It’s a great way to use up scrap pieces of fabric that are left over from other projects. Also those random buttons floating around in your drawer! The only thing I had to purchase was the insulated fleece. You only need a small amount so you’ll probably have a bit left over. But I think it’s a good thing to have on hand, particular if you think you might make some items for the kitchen like pot holders or coasters.

The instructions are really easy to follow and there’s plenty of pictures to help you along the way. The project is free and can be downloaded from Pellon’s Website. They have a bunch of free projects for all sewing levels- so it’s well worth checking out their site.

This project didn’t take me too long at all – just an hour – so I decided to make another one for my reusable coffee mug. And a couple more. I recon I’m going to start a new fashion trend with these!
